Why 22 Ti?
22-Ti is Titanium’s atomic number and element name.
Simple forms, beautifully made and authenticity are key aims of the brand, what you see is what you get!
I hope you like our products, more will be along as we grow.
I established 22 Ti 4 years ago to produce beautifully designed Titanium bike parts that are locally made (UK), with a totally transparent supply chain right back to the Mill where the billet was produced.
Why? Well where is the fun in just buying an off the shelf design from an established manufacturer and popping my name on it? Ti is a wonderful material to work with that will last a lifetime, is easy to keep looking fresh and new, the pics on this website are of a stem that did a winter in the UK before being photographed for this website.
The people manufacturing it ( Hi Dave and Paul @Axi5) are on a living wage, the materials come from Dynamic Metals in the UK and the billet originates in Romania. The ethos is to produce authentic, beautiful and responsible Ti parts that last a lifetime or can be passed like a Rolex down the family tree for years to come.
22 Ti - Titanium Axle
Grade 5 Titanium Rear Axle M12 x 180mm 1.75 Thread Pitch
Inspired by a customer request we designed this axle in a collab with Matt from MRN engineering; a specialist machine shop on the Oxford Warwickshire border. The axle is made from Grade 5 Titanium Billet produced in Italy and supplied by Dynamic Metals in Leighton Buzzard. A truly European effort
The axle has been rifled out to make it hollow from one end to the other (you should see the drill) and the head of the bolt dished to save a few extra grams and does look good too.
